Hey, This Actually Resembles An Update!

Are we absolutely certain that the Glee cast twitter accounts are valid? Because they're not certified. I want proof of purchase.
Also, my dear friend
safebehindteeth linked me to two of the greatest things ever. This and this mean that I will never again lack for the lulz. The first one is now my background.
For all the friends I may or may not make (I'm still waiting to hear back from some of you), howdy! I'm kind of just getting back to posting on LJ since Twitter took over my life, but I've been here for a while. My profile says a lot about my favorite movies, shows andpeople men. I'm currently in a musical phase, which means lots of Glee, Mickey Rooney/Judy Garland pictures and humming while I walk. Enjoy it, one day I'll go back to comics book heroes and wanting to see things blown up.
I went to see "Princess and the Frog" today, and, well. I was aware that it was going to be a Disney movie, but I think I was still caught off-guard. A lot of it is that fact that so many character designs and props and things were taken from other Disney (and sometimes non-Disney) movies. The arrogant male frog with a French accent? "Swan Princess". Apparently it's not as popular a movie as I thought (I was dead in love with it, still kinda am), the knock-off is still palpable. There was even a scene where he stood on the back of a turtle that kind of looked like Speedy. The little blonde girl at the beginning was Darla Dimple from "Cats Don't Dance", and the alligators are from "Peter Pan"....alright, that's a bit of a stretch. But the point is, lots taken from other movies or in homage from past movies.
That said, I enjoyed it. Even the fact that the music was written by Randy Newman didn't bother me. Some of his songs I enjoy, as long as their being sung by someone else.
But, oh man, the MISOGYNY at the beginning. From the MOM, no less! And then it wasn't mentioned again, so it's sort of like, it just leaves you with this feeling of "What did she just say?! Is the entire movie going to be like this?!" And then it isn't. There were some parts that were a little too corny, and my friend and I were recoiling in our seats, but for the most part it's a cute, enjoyable movie. Not quite Classic Disney, but close enough, I guess.
P.S. The shadows genuinely creeped me out. I kind of wish there were more scenes with them! My friend said she wanted to call the Winchesters to come save her.
And just because I've been collecting Glee gifs and re-watched Sectionals:
