Yes, once Cookie re-described it to me, I realized that she'd told me about this show before, but I'd forgotten about it. Also, it was a while ago, and the more I've heard, the more I'm intrigued. See, let me tell you the formula for drawing me into a show
1) Make the show as confusing as possible. I LOVE being completely clueless as to what's going on
2) The show must be as planned-out as possible. Because this is the payoff for all the confusion. Things eventually become clear and make sense in unforeseen ways. Anyway, supposedly, that's the case with this show; it knows where it's going and it knows what it's doing.
Also, that second one's the reason that some other shows, which shall remain nameless, fail. And it's probably the reason I can't really get into Lost—because I remember those guys and their complete lack of a plan from the Alias days. Fool me once…
