I Gotta Question, I Needa Ask Somebody...

Hehe, Will Smith.

Anyway, was "Hurt" originally by Nine Inch Nails, and then Johnny Cash covered it? Because I didn't know that. I guess it could go either way, but someone made a post and they also said that "Hallelujah" wasn't originally by Jeff Buckley, so now I'm all confus-ed. Answers, anyone? I know I have at least three music-obsessed friends XD.

Well I can help you a bit, yes Hurt was originally by NIN. If you haven't heard that version, I'd recommend it. I like it better than Johnny Cash but I just am not a big fan of JC period. *shrugs*

I *believe* Leonard Cohen was the first one to do Hallelujah but don't quote me on that. *smirk* And since you brought it up...
Damien Rice - Hallelujah

'Tis my fav cover but then again I'm a Rice fangirl. XD

I'll have to check the NIN cover of it out because I've never heard of it. Although, I am a JC fan, and I love the cover.

Yay, more music! Leonard Cohen was the name the other person used too, so I'm assuming that's right. What's really sad is that I could have probably Google'd this or gone to Wiki, but I was too lazy so I asked LJ instead :P. My dependence grows stronger every day!

Heh, well I hope you like it. He's got such a beautiful take on it, very raw and almost full of desperation and beauty. *sigh* oh he does it so well. *smirk* sorry I'm fangirling.

Yeah, I know, I always have to check my LJ before I got to work each morning otherwise I get grumpy. Man I love it so.

I haven't listened to it yet since I'm on my dad's computer, but I definitely will in the morning. You're definitely giving him a good rep XD
