Rants about TV!
Jan. 3rd, 2009 08:53 pmX-Files is getting really interesting. I like how they turned not getting to use Gillian into such an amazing number of episodes. I just finished Firewalker and am about halfway through Red Museum. I've realized lately that I generally don't know what constitutes a good episode versus a bad one. Which might become a problem once I'm a writer. Like, I know when the writers fuck up a character or the continuity or whatever, but I don't think that some episodes are as bad as others might think. But, I mean, there are definitely ones I prefer over the others.
In other news I'm behind on Pushing Daisies, Chuck, HIMYM, and The Office. I should probably get back on that, but I'm way too distracted by X-Files and Psych at the moment.
I also just watched the first episode of Demons. I'm not totally sure how I feel about it. I mean, it has potential or whatever, but the angel thing next episode is clearly a rip off of Doctor Who and the whole set up is kind of Buffy-ish (completely with an American named Rupert!) Rupert himself ticks me off, but I think that's just because he's not a very good actor. They couldn't have gotten a good American actor for that role? What I found awesome was the underground Middle Ages city. I mean, that's about the coolest thing I can imagine. I forgot London must have a city underneath the actual city. Have there been any other episodes aside from the Pilot?
