Don't Worry, I'm Still A Whovian At Heart

HAVE NOT SEEN THE PREVIOUS TWO EPISODES OF "SPN" AS I HAVE BEEN OOC (COMMISSION, NOT CHARACTER...MY LIFE IS NOT A NOVEL) FOR THE PAST TWO DAYS.
I have, however, seen the finale of Dollhouse, and WOAH. That was kind of awesome. And I'm super-excited that I get another season. I haven't seen the last couple of episodes of "Castle" either (I have a lot to catch up on, I know, but exams and moving were horrible) but I'm equally excited that they're getting picked up as well. Apparently something huge happened on SPN BUT I DON'T WANT TO KNOW.
Despite all the things that I have missed, though, I do thoroughly believe I have been keeping up my geek quotient. I've spent the last two days watching Star Trek episodes and movies (okay, so only one of each, but I'm planning to watch more) and tonight went to see the new release. It wasn't epically epic, but it was pretty damn enjoyable. I missed the introduction to Scotty becuase I had to pee really badly, which I regret since I love Simon Pegg. I can't really say more without spoilers, and I'm too lazy for that. I guess you should watch out for them in the comments? I'd recommend seeing it, you don't need prior knowledge but I always think it's the right thing to do. I can't say I'm a fan, but I might be on my way to becoming one. Only because Bones, Scotty and Spock are amazing characters.
Before that I was watching a bunch of old 30s and 40s movies. I'll probably continue once I get my hands a connection that hooks up with my computer. I'm currently in Milwaukee and using a relatives. Anyway, it was sort of a Mickey Rourke/Rodger and Hart marathon. I was up until 5 watching "Words and Music" and I had a revelation regarding what I'm going to do for the rest of my life. I'm going to make a classic 40s musical. Set in the 20s, of course. I already have three songs written (lyrics, not score, and those are kind of questionable...but still), a plot and the obligatory throw-back song. Actually the scene around that song is what got me started on this whole thing. So I'm going to be working on that for a while. But not before I finish my Cas!crack fic. I haven't actually written anything, but I'm kind of planning it out. It might have to be in two parts because it covers the whole season.
So that's what has been going on in my life. I get back home on Sunday and then I'm home free for the summer. Well, kind of. If I can get my hands on a job I'm going to take it, and hopefully will be able to drive around by the end of June. That's about it!
