Music For the People

I finished this mix today which isn't exactly a mix as much as it is a bunch of songs strung together. I call it Lyric Association.

Basically what happened was that I was walking home a couple of weeks ago, and as usual I had a song in my head. And then another song related to that song popped in. And then another. And then another. And it occurred to me to write them all down and then possibly make a mix of them. So that's what I did. Just to make this fun, I'm going to have listener participation!

A lot of the songs are well known, some aren't, so your goal is to:
a)Identify the song/artist. (Lots of the songs have their titles in the snippets :D)
b)What movie it was in, if any.
c)What the connection to the previous song is.

All the connections have to do with lyrics, so pay attention to those, but I've been told that they're a little subtle. Sometimes I read into things too far :\.

It's a bit under 12 minutes and there are 22 songs to name, just as a starting point :)
