barkinmad | Power Off, Party On

Hey guys.

So around 3 o'clock today my power went out. There was a ten-minute megastorm and many trees were felled and power lines broken. The power company told us that we should be up and running by Wednesday, but I think something around 30,000 people lost power in our area.

Aside from the fact I now have to sleep in unbearable heat, find a comfortable way to hold the flashlight while reading, and can't keep the refrigerator door open for more than ten seconds, this also means that I won't be able to make the posts I'd wanted to make in a timely fashion, and commenting isn't going to be so good either.

I'm going to try to go to Starbucks tomorrow and keep my computer and Blackberry running, but that time is most likely going to be devoted to school efforts since I have an essay due on Wednesday and Thursday and a big test tomorrow night. I'm actually not really all that upset about this, I just thought I'd keep you guys updated. At least I already have a good number of episodes of 3rd Rock downloaded.
