1. Are you a child of the 70s, 80s, or 90s?
90s.
2. Where were you born?
Miami, and then I moved to Maryland.
3. What did you grow up in?
Well, I was only in Miami for a little less than a year, but we lived in a house, and then when we initially moved to Maryland we lived in an apartment, but I was in the house where I live now before I turned one :).
4. Did you enjoy your childhood?
Um...not really. Elementary school really wasn't awful until fifth grade when I became really aware of the fact that I had no friends. And then middle school just really depressed me...ANYWAY
5. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I've always kind of wanted to be writer, although when I was younger I wanted to be an actress/singer/dancer as well. I also remember an on-and-off obsession with gymnastics.
6. What do you want to be now?
A novelist. But I need a day job, which is what's going to kill me in the future.
8. What was your first best friend's name?
Eva. But that was in first grade, before Angela moved here in second grade.
9. Are they still your friend?
Not really. We were friends for a bit, but I didn't really like hanging out with them.
10. Can you name all the schools you ever attended?
Bethesda Montessori School
Bethesda Elementary
Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School
11. Were you closer to your mom or dad as a kid?
My mom, but I'm probably now closer to my dad.
12. What was the first record, tape or CD you remember buying?
That I bought myself? I remember having "Bugs and Friends Sing the Beatles" bought for me. I think the first CD I bought was probably "London Calling" or something?
13. How old is a good age to have kids?
Mid 20's or early 30's.
14. Are you scared of anything?
How about everything?
15. What was your favorite class in elementary school?
Language Arts or DEAR (Drop Everything And Read!).
16. Did you buy school lunch or bring your own?
I mostly bought. Now I do both.
17. Broken any bones or had any freaky accidents as a kid?
When I was five or six or so, I was running away from my sister after having stolen her grilled cheese sandwich, and I tripped over my self and my head hit the edge of this glass table we had in the den. I don't remember it well, but I remember the magic thread that sealed me back up.
18. Were you a mean kid?
No.
19. Favorite board game of all time?
Candyland! I forget how to play though. I just liked all the pretty colors..it actually might be one of the causes of my current obsession with anything sweet and/or sugary.
20. Did you play house or pretend to be a super hero?
Both! I played house with my friends and at home I would pretend to be the Pink Power Ranger while watching the show. I actually played that with my friends too, but not as often.
21. Seriously, are you still just a kid at heart?
Yeah, I figure I'm making up for everything that I was missing out on when I was actually that age XD. Now I just goofaround with my friends and watch Disney movies unabashedly.
So, basically nothings changed workload-wise, but I finally started reading again. I have this nagging feeling that I'm getting dumber by the day (hence the stupid spammy posts).
