Eight Random Factoids

1. I'm a total geek. I've played a Harry Potter card game that somewhat resembles a Yuh-Gi-Oh or Pokemon game. I love it when I understand math and am good at a particular area (especially algebra-related) and I can have a fun conversation with the resident nerd (who lives on my street) even though he talks as though he were going to run for president in the next year. I don't think he knows the meaning of slang.

2.There are a lot of things that I say I love when it's just over-exaggeration. I'll say that I love "Say Anything", because I think it's a good movie, but I've only watched it two or three times. I just want people to think I'm interesting or to know that I like John Cusack as an actor, even though he's not my favorite.

3. There was a time when I hated showering and my hair was a rats nest. My hair looks like shit when you don't take care of it, and not take care of it I did. I don't hate showers anymore, but I'm still pretty bad at making sure it happens frequently.

4. The first movie I ever saw in theaters was "Free Willy 2". I was five or six years old and at my sister's birthday party. I ran out of the theater crying because the big animal scared me. The scene was from the point of view from a submarine and all of the sudden a big, dark, lurking thing wooshes past and I just freaked. I also hated "Lion King" until I was a teenager because I hated watching the scene where the father dies.

5. I've only ever finished two fics/stories. I have about three original (well, one story is questionably original) novels in my head and a play going that's a continuation of "Peter Pan". Only one of them has made it past a chapter (the prologue) and I've been working on it for over two years. All work has basically stopped on those fronts. I've finished one Smallville fanfic (over at my writing LJ) and one short Supernatural fanfic (the "Plot Bunny" one, also at my writing LJ) and will most likely finish my Crazy Ass Fic before I ever resume work on my original writing.

6. I may have mentioned this before, but I have conversations in my head with other people who either don't exist or I have never met. I'm not schizophrenic, because I don't actually hear them, but I imagine talking to them in certain situations. This ranges from thinking about a cool conversation or thing to do with my best friend, to coming up with excuses for not doing my homework, to pretending that I won a contest to meet Jensen and Jared and actually holding a conversation with them on a studio lot. I feel crazy when I tell other people this, but I always hope that I'm not the only one (and when I told Becca, she actually admitted to doing it as well to an extent). I'm also convinced that this helps with my writing since I can easily hold conversations between characters in my head.

7. Sometimes I'm really afraid that I won't be able to do anything when I get older, because publishing something is really hard and the world outside is really tough, but I can't imagine myself working in an office or cubicle at all. It would just kill me. School is bad enough, but at least there is human contact. I'd feel so confined in my cubicle and unmotivated and unhappy. So I fear for my lack of success as a writer/screenwriter/playwright/director/photographer/video editor but those are really my only options.

8. The only place I'd willingly get on a plane for (of which I'm deathly afraid of doing; it's the first thing that connected me to Dean) is London. Or possibly Scotland for this Fringe Fest my theater teacher keeps talking about.
