A FANFICTION PRAISE MEME

This could be interesting. Honestly, it you just wanted to leave concrit I would be fine with that since I would definitely like to know how to improve upon my writing.

I finished one chapter in "A Study in Scarlet" and needed to watch the first episode of Sherlock again. IT'S AN ADDICTION, GUYS, LIKE SHERLOCK TO NICOTINE PATCHES AND/OR SHAG.

I put all my homework off until the last minute again. But I mean, really, it's summer school. AOJWEFWE I JUST DON'T WANT TO WRITE ANYTHING ESSAYISH ANYMORE.

Here has been my method lately of going through the [livejournal.com profile] inception_kink comments.

"Ooooh, 44 seems like a nice number, let's look at that page!"

Which is to say, there is no method at all.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] fire_at_wi11 directed me towards this LOVELY PHOTO which is under a cut for sanity's sake. )

I have recently discovered two awesome things. The first is thanks to Tumblr, since I saw a picture of Martin Freeman on what was obviously a British quiz show, but I'd never seen it before. After some sleuthing, I found that it was called "What You Were Watching" or something similar, and it's FANTASTIC. So funny. But I suppose it does depend on the panel, much like many other British quiz shows.

The other thing sprang from THAT show, because the basic premise is that they review absolutely awful TV and then make fun of it (OMG MY FAVORITE ACTIVITY) and they talked about this show called "Young, Dumb and Living Off Mum." Yeah, you know about my ban against reality shows? This is an exception. Because, it's just like, it's a total trainwreck to watch, but it's done in such a way that you know the contestants are trying and some of them actually have redeeming qualities (well, okay, one). So that's basically what I've been watching today. Good stuff.

I didn't get to see Scott Pilgrim like originally planned, but I might be able to go see it once I get back to school. Two of my friends are in New York (by the way, WTF? I haven't seen one of them in over six months, and they didn't even tell me about their meeting up?) and were planning on seeing it with another friend right before school. So they might have already seen it by the time I get there, which would suck because I hate going to see a movie that I know will be a huge group thing with people who have already seen it. But, you know, at least I'll get to see it.

UMMMMMMMM nothing else, I suppose.

I am just so behind, and things are going to be getting any better. I have an exam on Thursday, a paper due Monday and then a final on Thursday. And that's just for one of my two classes. I go back to school that Saturday, and usually the next three to four days month is a collegiate blur of booze and pot and classes.

Gah.

So I haven't been able to write or do anything of the sort, I've barely been able to mod [livejournal.com profile] inceptionau (which, actually, doesn't seem to need much modding), and I'm afraid it's going to fail because even though it has 100 watchers (YAY!) there are only three non-mod posts. Drat. Hopefully the challenge will pick things up.

Also, can I mention that when a girl is walking really quickly through a university campus at night with a bunch of bags, it is not a good time to start chatting her up? I was passing this guy, and he was already a couple of feet behind me when he said hey, so I had to wheel around to make sure that I wasn't crazy and hearing voices or anything. My bus was leaving in four minutes across campus, and I told him such and started leaving, and he was like calling after me asking if there was another time. DUDE. I'M IN A RUSH AND I'M CLEARLY NOT INTERESTED. JUST DROP IT.

I should be interviewing people for an essay I have to write tomorrow. For a class about television, which I was REALLY excited about, it turned out to be kinda sucky. I think I'm just annoyed that I had to go back to the real world after my weekend of pure awesome. If anyone feels the need to share in my pain about the end of Sherlock, you may do so in the comments.
